From scratch

My week has already started off incredibly productive.  One of my favorite things about the move is all the time I finally have to explore cooking and making as much as I can from scratch.  I've already shared a few things, but this week is the week when things are really getting serious.

The list is a little intimidating, but yesterday I tackled four of these things.  It's only Tuesday!  The cheese did not turn out well, so I will have to try again.  But three out four successes isn't too bad.

  1. What kind of cheese recipe did you try that only takes one day? Chris made cheese a couple years ago, and it took *weeks* (and, granted, still turned out like crap).

    But mmm...homemade ice cream is SO GOOD.

  2. It was a mozzarella cheese recipe, and I had read up on it so much beforehand but still turned out terribly. I don't know if I'll try again.

    The ice cream WAS wonderful! :).
