Summer inspired

Blogging has just been last of my list of to-do's for the past week and a half.  I'm mostly at a loss as to what to post about, so I guess I'm not feeling terribly inspired.  Maybe I wore myself out last week cooking about every single thing I could think of.

So here's a little summer inspiration today--Because I may not be the only one who needs it.

Pretty Inspiration

The other day I was sitting in Barnes and Noble, sipping a little americano and enjoying the wintery day with my husband.  I decided to browse the magazines and came across this amazing bit of reading.

"Artful Blogging" is a quarterly magazine featuring a variety of inspiring bloggers.  Photos are by bloggers, articles are by bloggers, etc.

And just look at these photos!  I simply wanted to sigh and then breathe in all the beauty.  I'm so inspired by bloggers that can produce such gorgeous work for others to enjoy.

Many bloggers offer advice on how to blog, take your own beautiful pictures and staying true to your individuality in a sea of so many other online journals.

I hope you're able to pick up this little jewel somewhere, because it sure is worth it.

New Space

Since we're moving to an island, we chose to sell or give away most of our furniture and some home decor items.  Basically, we're starting over.

So I've been looking at specific decorating styles and scouring craigslist for things available over in Hawaii.  Erik likes a clean, modern style but I like what is often termed "shabby chic" so we're trying to find a little common ground with our new place.
